For everyone's enjoyment and wellbeing, Brackley Round Table encourages you to enjoy the Brackley Beer Festival responsibly www.drinkaware.co.uk. 46+ Barrels - It gets bigger each year! This summer Brackley Round Table will bring you a staggering 46 barrels of ale to try out, as well as the usual range of ciders, lagers and soft drinks.
VIP Fundraising Preview Night - Once again our Beer Festival will kick off on the Friday evening (24th July), when we will be welcoming our sponsors and other guests to our VIP Preview Night at Brackley Town Hall. This informal social and fundraising event (for over-25s only) includes music, entertainment and other opportunities to have a good time while raising money for charity.
Public Open Day - The Main Event - With all our costs offset through corporate sponsorship, every penny we take on the Saturday goes to charity. So come along to the Town Hall from midday onwards. We'll have tables, chairs and umbrellas out across the Piazza once again. There will also be live music during the day. Come early because when it's gone it's gone! If you've not been before, ask someone that has. If you're a Brackley Beer festival regular, then you know what a great atmosphere it is. So get yourself into Brackley for the last weekend of July for one of the best community events of the year!
Where does the money go? - Thanks to people like you Last year's Brackley Beer Festival made a net profit of more than £4,000! Over the past 8 years, this event has raised over £30,000 - and Brackley Round Table make sure that every penny of this goes to charity. The Brackley Charity Beer Festival is a non-commercial community event. All our profits go to needy individuals, community groups, and charities in and around Brackley, across the UK, and sometimes overseas. We could not have achieved this without the efforts of the members of the Round Table club and their families, the staff of The Red Lion, our sponsors, and you - the people of Brackley. Your support and generosity throughout the weekend is really appreciated by the people that benefit from our fundraising.
One of this year's beneficiaries will be your local air ambulance charity, the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (www.wnaa.co.uk). This Helicopter Emergency Medical Service for Northamptonshire does not simply transport patients to the nearest hospital; it provides lifesaving treatment and medication at the scene and en-route to hospital.
WNAA's state-of-the-art Augusta helicopter can be in the air in just 45 seconds from the time of an emergency call. With a top speed of 200mph it is the fastest civilian helicopter available, and can be anywhere in Northamptonshire in 15 minutes, with an average response time is just 6 minutes. WNAA receives no funding from the Government or the National Lottery to keep the service flying. It relies entirely on voluntary donations so our help is vital to keep them saving lives.
